Hi friends.
Thanks so much to all of you who replied to my “changing email format” note a few weeks ago. This is the last email through WordPress, so if you did not respond with a “keep me on the list” reply, this is the last gasp.  My love affair with WordPress has come to an end. It’s now mail chimp or die. Food for thought. Speaking of food.  The Beat Divas have two cooking classes coming right up. Join us if you can. We’ve got three spots left in San Antonio, about a dozen left in Austin.

Cookin’ with the Divas

Howdy friends and neighbors.
Central Market had a few issues with posting the May calendar,
but
The Beat Divas are finally in print. This means that we have
plenty of room in our class on Friday, May 4th, and we invite you
to join us. (I’ve been working on my Lemon Cake Pudding – to the
delight of my esteemed taste-tester, my husband – and have taken
it to a whole new level. My last batch was sublime!)  Beth and Dianne do the same with their recipes, so we can bring you outstanding food. 
At this class we’ll be adding some non-food-theme favorite tunes as well,  to round out our menu.

Upcoming events and mail list updates

Howdy friends.
Thanks so much to all of you who have responded to my recent email, regarding staying on my mailing list. This will be the last mail out in the old format. So if you have not yet replied about staying on the list, please do so now! Just email me at mady@madykaye.com. Thanks. If I don’t hear from you, you’ll fall off the list. (Reminds me of the graffiti I heard about, that’s in the men’s room at the Continental Club: “If your phone doesn’t ring, you’ll know it’s me.”)

While I’m at it, here’s news about two cooking classes with the Beat Divas (info follows). The first class is in San Antonio at the end of this month, the second follows a week later in Austin. Most of my performing gigs are with the Beat Divas. My own performance dates are private events of one sort or another, so I’m sorry I’m not more available. And I’ve been spending lots and lots of time in the recording studio, producing other people’s projects. It’s work I love, even though it’s behind the scenes. It’s what’s happening now.
